Dr. Sibel Akin's New TUBITAK Project with Columbia University on "Faculty-School Partnership"!

As the faculty member of Primary Education Program at the Department of Elementary Education, Dr. Sibel Akin’s new project on developing effective faculty-school partnership has recently been granted by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBITAK)! As part of this project, Dr. Akin has also been invited to continue her collaboration on the "Teaching Residents at Teachers College” research project that is granted by the Department of Education in the United States and carried out by Columbia University-Teachers College one of 3 top-ranking and most prestigious universities in the world on teacher education and one of 8 Ivy League universities in the US! The findings of the project will shed light on establishing effective faculty-school partnership and provide the key stakeholders, including the authorities in the Council of Higher Education, the Ministry of National Education, faculties of education, partnership schools, mentor teachers, and pre-service teachers, with essential insights on strengthening faculty-school partnership as a critical component for high quality teacher preparation!
