As the faculty member of the Primary Education Program at the Department of Elementary Education, Dr. Sibel Akın participated in the 7th International Congress on Curriculum and Instruction (ICCI-2019) held at Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences between October 9th-12th. The congress hosted many national and international researchers, keynote speakers, and panelists including the General Manager of the Turkish Education Association and TED Ankara College Foundation School - Sevinç Atabay, as well as the President of the Board of Education and Discipline - Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Dönmez, and the Dean of TEDU Faculty of Education - Prof. Dr. Yüksel Kavak. The issues discussed at the conference included, but were not limited to, the curriculum development studies from past to the future, the chief role of the field of curriculum and instruction in different countries' education systems such as the USA, England, Norway, and Singapore, and the international curricula - including IB and Cambridge - and their implementation in the Turkish context!
